Senior Play ‘Mystery at Magpie Manor’ 2018

Well done to our Seniors on a fantastic performance of Mystery at Magpie Manor.

This brilliant Downton-meets-Poirot musical production brought comedy, song, mystery and 1920s' dance routines together in one scintillating performance.
Set in the 1920s and steeped in legend and intrigue, Magpie Manor is in a great state of disrepair and Lord and Lady Pica must take drastic action to save their crumbling manor house. The clan is gathered and together with Mr Fortune the bank manager and his bumbling assistants, they come up with a plan to sell off the family silver.

Darting of Gosho Giraffe 2018

The Gosho Park scouts noticed over the weekend that our male giraffe had a metal ring around his back leg – maybe thrown over the fence?

He had stepped right on top of a piece of irrigation pipe and it was stuck above the hoof.

The experts were called in and darted the animal which can be a very tricky business with giraffe. Learner guides were there to assist and he went down quite quickly so the vet could remove the metal and there was no injury to the leg.

Fireworks Event 2018

The sun shone brightly on Wednesday and we enjoyed a magnificent fireworks evening. There was a lovely atmosphere between young and old and it was well worth being re-scheduled.  The afternoon was spent enjoying entertainment by singers The Bees' Knees, and our children spent many hours on the Kingdom Inflatables.

Huge thanks must go to our main sponsor, Success Micro Finance Bank, and to Proton Bakers for their sponsorship.

Thanks, too, to the PTA Committee and in particular to Sarah Cremer who did a lot to put it together.

Thanks to Andy Joughin and Leon Greeff with his workers who ensured all the facilities were in place.
