Grade 7 Rifa Trip 2017

We had a busy week at RIFA, in Chirundu, for the Grade Sevens.

Activities included: canoeing, target practice, first aid, GPS and mapping, fishing, trees, bird spotting, vulture watch, impala dissection, fire making, bush cricket and team activities.

Our school's aim of instilling the need for conserving our wonderful country's natural resources was at the base of all we did. Fun was had by all.

Thanks to Kerry Morgan Orphanides for the photos!

Grade 5 Lowveld Trip 2017

Our Grade Fives spent an action packed few days down in the Lowveld.

They visited a diary/potato farm, Great Zimbabwe, Lake Kyle and Triangle - Murray Mac Museum and Sugar Cane Farming.

They went on game drives and studied aquatic water systems at Malilangwe.

Thanks to Laura Stobart for the photos.

Conservation Update August 2017

Gosho Park
The roof at Hikers is being replaced and the new roof will cover a much bigger area. We are also going ahead with the final section of the electric fence. Two blesbok males were introduced into the park and we are expecting an adult male giraffe fairly soon.

It is nearly holidays and the Peterhouse Girls office is not open all the time for bookings. Please think ahead and make accommodation bookings before the end of term - or you will have to take pot luck! Next term already has a lot of school bookings so please check beforehand if you want to use the park. While staff have the privilege of free entry, please ensure that all guests pay entry fees and everyone is expected to pay for camping.
